All Oman Air pilots who are currently on flying duty are eligible to apply for TopCover benefits.
There is no upper age limit for applying for TopCover.
The maximum age limits for each section of cover are:
Income Protection and Critical Illness: Age 60
Personal Accident: Age 65
The maximum benefit is US$15,000 per month, including any benefits provided by Oman Air.
Oman Air has a separate policy providing Income Protection benefits of:
Captains: $3,000 per month
First Officers: $2,000 per month
This is a cash lump sum payment in the event of death or a permanent injury. The maximum benefit is $500,000.
Members may also purchase cover for their spouse and dependent children.
This is an immediate cash payment upon diagnosis of any one of the named illnesses. In addition, for pilots, any medical condition that permanently prevents you from flying may also qualify for a benefit payment.
Benefits are available in increments of US$10,000 and the maximum benefit available is US$150,000.

It is important to note that a separate policy is arranged by Oman Air. The airline is the policyholder and receives the monthly benefits as a contribution to the cost of keeping you employed when you are long-term sick. The airline is therefore financially encouraged to retain you during the initial 180 day Waiting Period.
Your TopCover benefits are completely separate from the airline’s policy and under your direct control.
